Four Sundays in November - Fourth November Sunday - The Beginning and End of Ages - The Wheel of Time
Troubling, I think, because our lives are lived linearly. If "until all things have taken place" is read like "There will be signs... all these things must happen and then comes one final, apocalyptic outcome" then this Jesus prediction on its face seems wrong 2,000 years later.
However, let's move this from the idea that the end of an age is a one time event and, instead of a revelation and resolution or a one time rapture, imagine the resolutions, revelations, and ruptures that happen throughout human history. The opportunity is there for every generation to bring the kindom of God to earth.
The Gospel begins "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars". Today that referenced the new journey I am embarking on. Regarding the HooDoo Tarot rootwork I shared my path with my sister, who pulls Tarot readings and interprets them well.
She pulled for me and sent me the results and her interpretation. The first card she pulled was the 8 of Pentacles. Pentacles is interesting: that suit relates to Earth, which is my astrological element as a Taurus.
The main word used for the 8 of Pentacles is PRUDENCE:
Prudence (Latin: prudentia, contracted from providentia meaning "seeing ahead, sagacity") is the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason.
Her interpretation is this is my way of working in the world: I govern and discipline myself by use of reason.
She felt that I might feel a little out of balance right now not being able to use reason solely in the new work I am doing with my course. She thought that this line from the Star Tarot book holds a key to the pulling of this card: "You are learning to follow your dharma.'
The next card she pulled was... JUSTICE!
Intuitively, she thought what the cards symbolize is that my current journey is my dharma, my life's work. And that work has to do with Justice.
Her interpretation went straight to the power of what this all means to me currently.
